Students in this category must take an exam to demonstrate they have a level of knowledge equivalent to school levels that would normally be completed before entering our school.
An average grade of five must be attained in this exam. In addition, this exam will DETERMINE if the candidate may accede the special exam.
This exercise will cover the following areas:
Each candidate will select three of these topics and answer in writing one question from each of the selected topics. The maximum amount of time per topic is one hour.
The candidate’s knowledge, level of maturity with regards to conceptual understanding, analytical and summarizing capability, and capacity to integrate such knowledge with other disciplines will be evaluated.
Will consist of two parts
1st part:
This will consist of a three dimensional representation of a model using the techniques and language in an artistic mode in addition to an technical drawing.The exercise will take a maximum of five hours.Artistic as well technical accuracy will be judged, as well as creative aptitudes, skills, dexterity, artistic sensitivity, technical understanding, and quality and precision in the end result as well as correct use of techniques employed.
2nd part:
This will consist of a freehand color composition, based on an interpretation of the model that will be proposed.Creative aptitude, skills, dexterity, imagination and artistic sensitivity, capacity for resolving compositional problems, esthetic quality as well as precision, and correct choice and implementation of artistic techniques and procedures will be judged.
