Showcase Design Study Cycle

Showcase desigh

The city center, department stores and museums, are the principal users of showcase design. This is an area which allows the expression of artistic creativeness with objectives that include development of everything from the physical aspects to the technical, organizational and economic aspects of a project, as well as technical knowledge of materials, and resolution of construction and lighting challenges.

Showcase design spans from cabinets to large shops windows, from the museum to the design of a fashion runway.

To stimulate interest in this field as well as understanding the language used in the commercial and plastic areas we study the history of architecture and its environment, the history of showcase development, etc. In order to acquire the skills to develop and manage projects we delve into technical drawing, volumetric expression, freehand drawing, color, graphism, computer assisted drawing, technology, systems of construction and theory of showcase design. We also look into the area of legal and organizational frameworks which regulate the field.

To finish, there is a Final Project which allows us to evaluate the skill level acquired in the previous two years.

Once finished, the student will acquire the degree of Upper Level Plastics and Design Arts in Showcase Design.
